Off Campus options...

You do not have to stay on campus to take SNFC classes or to participate in our meal program.  You have some options for off campus accommodations. We have stayed in all of these accommodations and find them more than acceptable.



Riverhouse, a private vacation rental home, located on Hwy 49, on a spectacular section of the North Yuba River, a few miles south of the Field Campus. Field Campus student rate:  $225 a night/$1350 a week, plus $125 cleaning fee.  2 night minimum.


Sleeps 5: Two double beds, one queen and one single in living room

The Valley House located in the heart of Sierraville, 25 minutes from the SNFC campus. Two units, each 600 square feet with full bath, 2 queen beds, internet, kitchen and living space. Special rates for SNFC students: $705 per week plus $40 cleaning fee.  NIghly discounted rates are also available for SNFC students.  Owner is the contractor for SNFC's ongoing remodeling work.

Sierra Solitude, a 3 bd 3 ba private vacation rental home at Salmon Creek Rd just 3 mi from SNFC. Owner is a SFSU alumni. Student and faculty rate:  $250 a night/$1600 a week, plus $125 cleaning fee.  2 night minimum, sleeps 6: Two queens and two long singles. To book, contact: -or-

Sierra Pines Resort (Herringtons) is located at the south end of Sierra City and offers hotel rooms or kitchen units on the beautiful Yuba River.  Dining room serves breakfast and dinner 7 days a week during the summer.  Rates range from $85-180 and we offer a 10% discount to SFSU students.     ~At the entrance of Sierra City, cabins within walking distance of the Yuba River with some hiking trails.  6 miles from campus.
