COVID - 19 Statement:

Due to the spread of COVID-19, the Sierra Nevada Field Campus, along with everyone else, is in a period of uncertainty as to what the summer program will hold.  It is too early to make decisions, but of course it is on our minds. For now, we will continue to accept registrations for workshops and classes and are hopeful that the program will go ahead as planned with certain health considerations in place. If you plan to fly to California in order to take a class or workshop, then check the airline cancellation clause and consider trip insurance before committing to traveling. In case we end up closing the Field Campus at the time of your workshop or class, your air travel expenses would be covered by your insurance. Please stay tuned - if there are changes to the SNFC summer program, they will be posted here and all students will be contacted and updated immediately.

Each summer, the Sierra Nevada Field Campus offers both accredited classes and non-credit workshops. The registration process for each of the two types of classes requires separate instructions and processes.  Registration for accredited classes are offered through the College of Extended Learning (CEL). Registration for non-credit workshops are offered through the University Corporation (UCorp), a San Francisco State University entity.

As part of the process of registering for classes, you will make a separate reservation for your meal and tent plan, to stay on campus.  Off campus accommodations are available too. Please note that you may reserve the meal plan even if you are not staying on campus.  Our chef proudly accommodates all dietary restrictions!

Please visit the Registration Instructions page for step-by-step detailed instructions.

For a full list of classes offered, please see the Class/Workshop Calendar.
